Health IT company Cedar Gate's platform has been calibrated to help its ACO clients meet standards implemented by CMS and the Accountable Care Organization Realizing Equity Access and Community Health model.
CMS launched ACO REACH in March 2022 to improve health equity. Cedar Gate changed enterprise data management, analytics, population health management and payment technology to ensure clients can meet ACO REACH standards, according to the Aug. 16 Cedar Gate news release.
"The requirements for REACH ACOs go well beyond the capabilities of legacy technology designed for fee-for-service payments," Cedar Gate CEO David Snow said. "Organizations seeking to power new payment and care delivery models with old technology will struggle to make the economics of the model work to achieve financial savings. Cedar Gate's platform enables organizations to efficiently exceed CMS's discount inherent in the model."
