Per the arrangement, Compassus will be responsible for overseeing the operations of 10 home health agencies and 11 hospice operations, according to a Feb. 16 news release from Compassus.
Bon Secours Mercy Health will retain ownership of its hospice house real estate assets in specific locations, while Compassus takes charge of managing the operations.
According to the release, the health system will collaborate closely with Compassus to assist the home health and hospice associates as they transition to employment with Compassus.
The agreement is still awaiting state and federal regulatory reviews.
Nashville, Tenn.-based Ascension Saint Thomas Home Health also made the same move.
