Blockchain to have significant role in economy, Ethereum co-founder says

In the next 10 to 20 years, blockchain will play a major role in our economy, Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin said at the South by Southwest conference in Austin, Texas, according to BTCNN.

The blockchain expert predicts that with the growth of the economy, blockchain will also expand. Specifically, Mr. Lubin emphasized the use of cryptocurrencies in the future.

Ethereum’s co-founder compared blockchain to email, noting when email was first developed few people used the technology.

Various industries can benefit from blockchain, according to Mr. Lubin. Journalists can use the technology to get information to readers directly. Additionally, the telecommunications, automotive, healthcare and education industries are adopting blockchain.
