“We are delighted to be named to CDW Healthcare’s list of top health IT blogs,” says Lindsey Dunn, editor in chief of Becker’s Hospital Review and chief of editorial content for Becker’s Healthcare. “The blog is an outlet for our editors to voice their opinions and explore concepts in a more personal manner with our audience, and we hope we continue to engage current and new readers through it.”
CDW states on its website that the list is a way to honor everyone sharing their “knowledge and enthusiasm for health IT” during National Health IT Week. The company selected blogs that it feels offer unique perspectives and “thought-provoking and valuable content.”
“We are so thrilled with the recognition,” says Scott Becker, publisher of Becker’s Hospital Review. “I cannot state strongly enough how pleased we are with the brilliant efforts of Helen Gregg, senior editor of health IT, and health IT reporter Akanksha Jayanthi. They’ve shown great intelligence and insight to bring the blog to this point. It’s also a tribute to our director of editorial operations, Lindsey Dunn.”
Health IT topics tackled in the Daily Beat include Apple, IBM and Epic’s growing dominance in the arena as they set aside their rivalries. For instance, this summer, Apple and IBM announced they would collaborate on a new set of business-facing mobile apps for iOS.
“The blog gives us the chance to delve into some of the most interesting and pressing issues in health IT,” says Ms. Gregg. “Akanksha and I are so happy our coverage seems to have resonated so well with our readers.”
