South Bend, Ind.-based Beacon Health System is among the latest of health systems to use CommonWell Services to assist with interoperability efforts.
Providers at Beacon Health Systems will now be able to see patient health data from outside organizations that also use Cerner's EHR, and patients will be able to give their clinicians access to records from other organizations that also participate in CommonWell.
"CommonWell Health Alliance gives us access to the patient's complete record, no matter where care is delivered," said Mark Warlick, CIO of Beacon Health System. "Having access to this information can help care givers provide exceptional and safe care to their patients."
