Atrius Health Awarded HIMSS Stage 7 Ambulatory Award

Newton, Mass.-based Atrius Health has been awarded the HIMSS Analytics Stage 7 Ambulatory Award for electronic medical record adoption.

Atrius Health’s affiliate, Reliant Medical Group, also received the stage 7 award. To date, Atrius Health and Reliant Medical Group are the only ambulatory groups without a hospital partner to reach stage 7, according to a news release.

Currently, just 1.23 percent of ambulatory providers across the country have reached stage 7. Providers are this stage are able to share health information with outside providers, have advanced clinical decision support software, offer patients an online portal and can use the EMR to gather clinical and business intelligence, among other capabilities.
