Athenahealth will integrate Praxify's technology into its cloud platform to assist internal and third-party developers launch related applications. The Praxify team's experience with mobile and user-centered design will also help accelerate athenahealth's research and development efforts, according to athenahealth officials.

"In combination with our cloud platform and services, Praxify's team and technology will help us further reduce the many inefficiencies of healthcare's clinical and operational workflows," said Prakash Khot, chief technology officer of athenahealth. "We're thrilled to have their talented team join our mission to make healthcare work as it should."

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.
