athenahealth reports 27% revenue growth in Q1 2015

Watertown, Mass.-based athenahealth has reported its financial results for the first quarter fiscal year 2015, indicating continued growth.

Total revenue for the three months ended March 31, 2015 was $206.4 million, a 27 percent increase from the $163.0 million from the same period last year.

Additionally, athenahealth’s net income for Q1 2015 ($9.1 million) was higher than for Q1 2014 ($4.4 million).

“athenahealth’s first quarter performance of 2015 highlights the achievement of many of our most important growth objectives and reflects the continued momentum we see day-to-day in our business,” said Jonathan Bush, chairman and CEO of athenahealth. “Partnering with Trinity Health to support their mission of people-centered care and signing our first acute care deal following the acquisition of RazorInsights are nothing less than energizing.”
