The health IT vendor currently utilizes 98,000 square feet of space at Ponce City Market in the former Sears Roebuck & Company complex. With this new expansion, athenahealth will tack on an extra 40,000 square feet of space to its offices at PCM.
“I offer my congratulations to athenahealth for its ongoing success and expansion,” said Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed. “The company’s expansion at Ponce City Market cements Atlanta’s status as the center of healthcare IT in the U.S.”
In June 2013, athenahealth said it would move the majority of its Georgia operations from Alpharetta to Atlanta and add more than 500 new workers, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
