Arkansas Health Information Management Association names president

The Arkansas Health Information Management Association appointed Tonya Mays president July 1, The Courier Online reports.

Here are three things to know about Ms. Mays.

1. Ms. Mays previously served on ArHIMA’s board. She was also a delegate for the American Health Information Management Association House of Delegates.

2. She is a health information management instructor at Russellville-based Arkansas Tech University and is a faculty advisor for the Student Health Information Management Association.

3. Ms. Mays earned a master’s of science in health informatics and a bachelor’s of science in health information management from Arkansas Tech University.
