Tresorit recently released a tool called ZeroKit, which gives developers using Apple’s CareKit platform the option to offer increased privacy options such as user authentification and end-to-end encryption of health data. CareKit is a framework that allows developers to build consumer-focused apps that allow users to manage their wellbeing.
“Our mission is to give the ability to developers to give privacy to you,” said Tresorit Senior Vice President David Szabo. “Developers don’t want to see patients’ passwords.”
Healthcare workers creating apps through CareKit can now choose to use ZeroKit’s offerings. Patients and consumers cannot decide whether they want to apply the offerings to their own accounts.
