Operating performance is down significantly from last year — in 2012, the company reported operating gains of $13.3 million. Officials attributed the operating losses to “certain nonrecurring expenses and transaction-related costs.” Total revenue this year was $1.38 billion, down from $1.45 billion in 2012.
Despite the significant losses, the company recorded bookings of $902 million in 2013, up from $731 million in 2012. A significant portion of Allscripts’ fourth-quarter bookings, 42 percent, came from the sale of its population health management solutions.
