Medical Park Family Care, an Anchorage, Alaska-based primary care group, will offer diabetes patients access to remote care resources through the digital health company Livongo, the company announced Oct. 27.
Medical Park Family Care operates a diabetes center of excellence that treats roughly 4,000 patients each year. Through the collaboration with Livongo, providers will be able to recommend the company's remote monitoring and lifestyle coaching services alongside traditional prescriptions and primary care appointments.
"The clinical benefits of offering Livongo to our patients living with diabetes are clear," said Brandon Ousley, CEO of Medical Park Family Care. "Our patients can't always be here at the clinic, but with Livongo they can always access the support and tools they need to manage their diabetes."
