Health systems continue to collaborate with Big Tech on AI, ambient listening and digital innovation.
Here are seven partnerships Becker’s reported on in the past month:
1. Chesterfield, Mo.-based Mercy’s ambient AI nursing partnership with Microsoft is bringing back “invisible care,” a health system leader told Becker’s for a Nov. 20 story.
2. Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, part of New York City-based Mount Sinai Health System, unveiled a three-year collaboration Nov. 18 with Nvidia to use large language model technology to accelerate genomic discovery.
3. Mishawaka, Ind.-based Franciscan Health is saving $45 million over five years by migrating its Epic EHR to the Microsoft cloud, the Big Tech company reported Nov. 18.
4. Cleveland Clinic has “strong partnerships” on AI and digital innovation with Microsoft, IBM, Oracle and Palantir, President and CEO Tomislav Mihaljevic said at Becker’s 13th Annual CEO + CFO Roundtable, Becker’s reported Nov. 17.
5. New York City-based Montefiore Health System revealed Nov. 13 it will expand its collaboration with Amazon One Medical, becoming the primary specialty care partner for the company’s Manhattan patients beginning Jan. 1.
6. Mount Sinai Health System said Nov. 5 it will begin using Microsoft’s Dragon Copilot, an AI tool designed to help clinicians complete documentation and reduce administrative work.
7. Amazon One Medical and Cleveland Clinic opened their first collaborative primary care office Nov. 29 in Northeast Ohio.
