Renton, Wash.-based Providence and IBM have collaborated to launch an AI-powered agent for human resources at the 51-hospital system.
Here are four things to know about the partnership, according to a May 6 news release:
1. Providence and IBM Consulting integrated the agent, using IBM watsonx, into the health system’s existing HR platform.
2. Eight months later, managers now spent 90% less time on hiring tasks.
3. Job requests created with the AI are 70% more accurate, nearly eliminating the need to correct mistakes later.
4. Providence has sped up internal transfers, shifting caregivers into new roles an average of 12 days quicker and reducing transfer costs by 60%.
