Several patients of Buffalo, N.Y.-based Catholic Health have withdrawn their lawsuit against an agentic AI vendor for the health system.
In May, the individuals sued Serviceaide in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California after a data breach of the company reportedly compromised the information of 483,126 Catholic Health patients.
The plaintiffs voluntarily filed a motion to dismiss the case without prejudice Nov. 19, and it was terminated. Becker’s reached out to Catholic Health, Serviceaide and the plaintiffs’ attorneys for comment.
At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
