Agentic AI company Serviceaide says a data breach left the information of 483,126 patients of Buffalo, N.Y.-based Catholic Health exposed.
On Nov. 15, the company discovered that certain information within the Catholic Health Elasticsearch database was inadvertently made public between Sept. 19 and Nov. 5, according to a May 5 notice from Serviceaide. The company’s investigation did not reveal that any information was copied but could not rule out the possibility.
The affected data include names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, and medical and health insurance information. Serviceaide is mailing letters to patients whose data may have been compromised. The company reported the breach to HHS on May 9.
