Data protection company Vormetric surveyed 1,100 senior IT security leaders at large companies, including 100 U.S. healthcare organizations. Here are three key findings from the survey.
1. Meeting compliance requirements was a top IT security spending priority for 61 percent of respondents, while preventing data breaches was a top spending priority for 40 percent of respondents.
2. Respondents sited complexity and lack of staff as the top barriers to the adoption of better data security.
3. Though there are barriers to data security, 60 percent of survey respondents reported their organizations are spending more to offset data threats.
