9 recent vendor contracts, go-lives

The following health IT vendor contracts and go-lives were announced within the last week.

1. The Iowa Clinic, based in West Des Moines, selected TeleCommunication Systems' VirtuMedix platform for telemedicine services.

2. Cookeville (Tenn.) Medical Center will implement Allscripts' Chronic Care Management Program to improve engagement with patients with chronic conditions.

3. The Department of Veterans Affairs contracted with Simples Made System, a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin, to overhaul its scheduling system. 

4. Renton, Wash.-based Providence Health & Services chose QPID Health's quality reporting software to implement at its facility in Everett, Wash.

5. Houston-based Memorial Hermann Health System will use CynergisTek's Compliance Assist Partner Program and social Engineering and Phishing Assessment to boost its security efforts.

6. Albany, Ga.-based Phoebe Putney Health System is adopting MEDITECH's EHR with a scheduled go-live date of Oct. 1.

7. Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health is rolling out Imprivata's MyID authentication system across its facilities.

8. Miami Children's Hospital completed its 18-month Cerner EHR implementation.

9. Aspen (Colo.) Valley Hospital selected Epic's EHR.
