Novant Health rolling out eRX platform

Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health is in the process of implementing electronic prescribing services in its facilities. The system will phase the platform into its clinics through the end of the year, according to a Winston-Salem Journal report.

Novant selected Imprivata’s MyID authentication system, which uses fingerprint readers for identification purposes. Surescripts processes the e-prescriptions.

Additionally, Novant uses Epic’s EHR system, and will integrate Imprivata and Surescripts’ platforms into the electronic record, according to the report.
