7 recent vendor contracts, go-lives

Here are seven recent health IT vendor contracts and go-lives:

1. University of Louisville (Ky.) Hospital rolled out health IT provider Orion Health's Rhapsody as a Service cloud-based integration engine, which is powered by Amazon Web Services, to enhance interoperability capabilities that connect disparate technologies and move them to the cloud.

2. Springfield, Mo.-based CoxHealth selected Kyruus' patient access platform to support critical patient experience initiatives, including patient-provider matching and scheduling services.

3. Chicago-based Northwestern Memorial Healthcare partnered with Ciox, a health technology company, to streamline and secure  its release of information process.

4. UNC Health Care in Chapel Hill became the first organization in North Carolina to integrate its Epic EHR with the state's prescription drug monitoring program.

5. McComb-based Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center entered into a multiyear agreement with Phoenix Health Systems for IT department management as well as software and infrastructure support.

6. The Department of Veterans Affairs and IBM Watson Health are expanding their partnership to bring artificial intelligence-powered technology to support precision oncology at VA facilities.

7. IBM and New York City-based Columbia University revealed plans for a new research and education center focused on blockchain technology and data transparency.
