The first half of 2017 saw $3.5 billion invested in digital health companies, 63 percent of which went toward six service categories, according to a Rock Health report.
Here are the top six categories of digital health companies, ranked by the amount of funding procured in the first half of 2017.
1. Consumer health information: $757 million
2. Digital gym equipment: $341 million
3. Healthcare consumer engagement: $321 million
4. EHR and clinical workflow: $276 million
5. Analytics and big data: $240 million
6. Digital therapies: $235 million
