5 barriers to pediatric telemedicine programs

The study surveyed current, planned and closed telemedicine programs, and respondents indicated the following five barriers to pediatric emergency telemedicine programs.

1. Difficulties in cross-hospital credentialing

2. Integration into established workflows

3. Usability of technology

4. Lack of physician buy-in

5. Misaligned incentives between patients and providers
