Mr. Waldren made his recommendations at the Hospital Cloud Forum put on by the Information Management Network on April 16 in New York City.
Mr. Waldren also laid out the following four recommendations:
1. Have no less than two different forms of connectivity.
2. Store some portion of recent health information in a local cache.
3. In the morning, at least store the data needed for that day locally so that physicians have access to it.
4. Develop a contingency plan beforehand.
