Here are three things to know about Mr. Crowder.
1. He has been with Scripps Health for a little more than a year. He was appointed corporate senior vice president and CIO in December 2015 and officially started in the position in January 2016.
2. Mr. Crowder has nearly three decades of IT experience. Prior to joining Scripps Health, he served as senior vice president and CIO of Portland-based MaineHealth. Additionally, he’s served as CIO of Orlando-based Florida Hospital and Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health System.
3. He is utilizing his knowledge of Epic to assist Scripps. During his time at MaineHealth, Mr. Crowder led the successful deployment of an Epic EHR. Now he’s putting the same knowledge to use at Scripps Health. Mr. Crowder is currently working with Epic on the design of its integrated enterprise EHR, which will replace Scripps’ current systems. The EHR is set to go live during the middle of this year.
