The following three providers have recently expanded their telemedicine programs.
Southwestern Vermont Health Care (Bennington): The health system has announced plans to construct new telemedicine suites in several care facilities that will allow remote consults with specialists at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H.
Northwest Florida Community Hospital (Chipley): Through a partnership with Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center in Panama City, a new program at the hospital will use telemedicine robots to provide neurological consults to stroke patients remotely.
Conway (N.C.) Medical Center: A telemedicine partnership with the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston aims to provide specialty consults via videoconferencing to help keep up to 25 percent of patients in their local hospital.
