Here are 11 recent health information technology vendor contracts and go-lives affecting healthcare organizations.

1. The University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville partnered with Apple to provide its patients with access to their health records via an iPhone app.

2. Scottsdale, Ariz.-based HonorHealth is implementing an artificial intelligence-driven operations system developed by Qventus to help make patient flow more efficient.

3. Indiana University, Purdue University and University of Notre Dame's research institute will leverage healthcare software company LifeOmic's mobile applications for its clinical research and studies program.

4. Department of Defense will go live on its Cerner EHR system Sept. 7 at four bases in California and Idaho, with another seven bases scheduled to deploy the system next June.

5. Cerner is partnering with the Duke Clinical Research Institute to pilot the Cerner Learning Health Network, which aims to automate data collection and expand medical researchers' access to patient health information.

6. Tower Health deployed its Epic EHR system Aug. 3 at five more of its hospitals as well as 25 additional Tower Health Medical Group physician practices.

7. UCHealth launched a skill for the Amazon Echo that allows users to ask the Aurora, Colo.-based system's virtual assistant, Livi, for information about health conditions and hospital services.

8. Advocare, a Marlton, N.J-based physician-owned medical group, implemented an eClinicalWorks cloud-based EHR system across its almost 200 practice locations.

9. El Dorado-based Medical Center of South Arkansas patients can now access their medical data on iPhone via Apple's Health Records application.

10. Plumas District Hospital in Quincy, Calif., will install a Cerner-based EHR system this fall.

11. Connecticut's state Office of Health Strategy launched Healthscore CT, an interactive digital tool to help residents compare the price and quality of care at hospitals and health systems across the state.
