Wheaton Franciscan consists of three Wisconsin hospitals, including St. Francis and St. Joseph hospitals in Milwaukee and Elmbrook Memorial in Brookfield. The hospital system joined St. Louis-based Ascension Health March 1.
The rate increases are necessary “to address inflationary costs and continue to offer our patients high quality medical treatment using the latest technology,” Wheaton spokesperson Anne Ballentine told Milwaukee Business Journal.
Wheaton hospitals will institute an overall average rate increase of 3.1 percent for the next fiscal year.
