On top of the $1 million already pledged by the company, Vizient will also match employee donations at a 3-1 ratio through Sept. 30.
In addition to financial assistance, Vizient employees are donating other household items to support relief efforts.
“We have several member hospitals in South Texas and Louisiana that have been hit hard by this storm,” Curt Nonomaque, Vizient’s president and CEO, said in a statement. “Several even had to evacuate patients and close some facilities. We wanted to mobilize as quickly as possible to give as much help as we could.”
