UHS to implement Cerner's Millennium Revenue Cycle, e-MDs completes McKesson software assets acquisition & more – 7 RCM company key notes

Here are seven recent news updates on key revenue cycle management companies.

Universal Health Services, a hospital management company based in King of Prussia, Pa., has signed an agreement to implement Cerner's Millennium Revenue Cycle platform. Cerner's RCM solution will replace UHS' INVISION revenue cycle solution, according to a StreetInsider report.

Yukon Partners, a provider of mezzanine capital for middle market private equity transactions, invested in emergency physician revenue cycle and practice management company DuvaSawko.

Ambulatory EHR, practice management and RCM company e-MDs completed the acquisition of several of McKesson's software assets.

Downers Grove, Ill.-based DuPage Medical Group expanded its relationship with PinpointCare for added support in managing risk-based contract payments with BlueCross Blue Shield of Illinois and Medicare Advantage. 

The Department of Defense and the Defense Health Agency have selected McKesson's RelayHealth patient engagement and interoperable secure messaging solutions, according to a StreetInsider report.

SCI Solutions, a patient access and care coordination software firm, appointed two new leaders. Maryanne Pace was appointed senior vice president of client delivery. Tammy Wood has been named a solution consultant.
   
After raising $10 million in funding from investors, medical payment startup SwervePay acquired cost transparency startup, StatPayMD.
