For a flat fee, some of the features of the new service include same-day or next-day appointments, after-hours communications and annual physical examinations, according to a post on the hospital’s website. There will also be an emphasis on telehealth and digital communication between staff and patients.

Dr. Laurie Rothman, a specialist in preventive care and wellness with almost two decades of providing care to residents in Palm Beach County, is the first physician to join the concierge practice.

Tampa General was recognized by the Tampa Bay Inno 2022 Fire Awards in November for the hospital’s innovation center and venture capital fund, TGH Innoventures.
