Here are four things to know.

1. DatStat, also based in Seattle, is a healthcare software solutions provider focused on patient engagement.

2. Through the acquisition, SCI Solutions will gain DatStat’s digital self-service tools that allow patients to manage their own health, securely message providers and prepare for visits beforehand, among other things.

3. Joel French, CEO of SCI Solutions said of the transaction: “By partnering with DatStat, SCI will eliminate the divide between today’s complex health enterprises and individuals wanting to be personally engaged, understood and involved in their care.
