S&P assigns ‘BBB’ rating to Beebe Medical Center’s outstanding bonds

S&P Global Ratings assigned a “BBB” rating to Lewes, Del.-based Beebe Medical Center’s outstanding bonds.

In addition to series 2015A and series 2018 bonds, the rating incorporates proposed issuance of $34 million of additional debt in early 2019.

The rating reflects robust demographics in Beebe’s service area and the hospital’s plan to utilize bond proceeds to broaden its inpatient and outpatient footprint.

The rating outlook is stable.
