Oracle Health unveiled five AI capabilities for its revenue cycle management portfolio Sept. 23. The tools are designed to flag denials, authorization problems and charge errors early in the patient and payment journey, before they delay reimbursement.
The company announced the tools at the Oracle Health and Life Sciences Summit in Orlando, Fla., where it is showcasing its new AI-powered patient portal. Oracle Health plans to make the revenue cycle tools generally available to U.S. healthcare organizations in the coming months. The tools will be embedded natively in existing Oracle Health revenue cycle solutions.
The five capabilities are:
1. Prior authorization: Checks coverage, prefills documentation requirements, attaches evidence and supports payer interactions.
2. Clinical documentation integrity: Reviews reimbursement-related documentation and surfaces recommendations to close gaps.
3. Charge capture and integrity: Analyzes clinical context, modifiers and service details to limit revenue leakage.
4. Professional fee coding: Recommends codes from clinical documentation within existing workflows.
5. Appeal management: Identifies payment variances in remittances and automates appeal packet creation.

The launch follows Ms. Verma’s preview in December of a broader set of AI agents across revenue cycle, nursing and clinical operations planned for 2026.
Oracle Health also plans to connect reimbursement workflows with enterprise financial operations through Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications. Those operations include revenue accounting, treasury management and financial reconciliation.
