Recently reopened Oklahoma hospital will stay open, CEO says

Pauls Valley, Okla.-based Valley Community Hospital CEO Madhukar Sharma told Pauls Valley Democrat on Jan. 11 that the hospital is staying open, despite community rumors to the contrary.

The hospital reopened in 2021 after three years of closure.

Mr. Sharma did confirm that the hospital’s lab has been closed since late December due to around 80 complaints filed by a former lab employee that resulted in visits from Commission on Office Laboratory Accreditation inspectors.

The hospital has shifted sample testing and lab operations to nearby Norman (Okla.) Regional Hospital while the lab has been shut down.
