Porter Health Care System to close clinic

Porter Health Care System of Valparaiso, Ind., is closing its only clinic in Merrillville, Ind., reports NWI Times.

Porter spokesperson Karen Keltner said the hospital system decided to close the clinic after a regular evaluation of its services. The system is currently helping patients find other physicians both within and outside of Porter’s network as well as working to relocate the 12 Merrillville staff members to other positions within its system.

The clinic is slated to close May 17.
