Parkland Health, Kaufman Hall expand accounting, software partnership

Dallas-based Parkland Health and Hospital System upgraded its financial management software platform with Kaufman Hall, adding solutions for cost accounting and capital planning.

Skokie, Ill.-based Kaufman Hall has provided financial planning services to Parkland Health for 14 years.

With the additional cost accounting software, Parkland Health aims to provide more accurate patient-level costing, which the health system believes is critical to financial decision-making.

“A disciplined approach to cost accounting and capital planning has become mission-critical in healthcare,” said James Bodan, Kaufman Hall executive vice president of healthcare software division. “In today’s value-based world, full visibility into financial and clinical data…is a critical success factor.”
