The bill, House Bill 2395, extends a $1.9 billion tax on hospitals over the next couple of budget cycles, according to the report. In return, Oregon gets $5.4 billion in federal matching funds, which will then go to hospitals in the form of Medicaid payments, the report reads.

The bill now goes to Oregon Gov. Kate Brown (D) for her signature.
