Under the contract, Optum Public Sector Solutions will manage TVHS’ provider network and process claim payments on behalf of the hospital. TVHS is a hospital within the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Optum will fully replace TriWest Healthcare Alliance as the manager on July 16. The change is part of a larger contract. Optum was chosen to manage the administrative services of VA hospitals in three regions in the U.S. under a $55 billion contract.
