OakLeaf, which has accepted more than 3,000 new primary care patients since the HSHS closure announcement, plans to continue expanding its primary care capacity with the help of its 30 primary care providers and six pediatricians at its clinics, including its Eau Claire, Wis.-based Confluence Health and its Chippewa, Wis.-based Sunrise Family Medicine.
The medical network also plans to expand obstetrics services, with its physicians anticipating 900 patient births in 2024, according to a Feb. 22 OakLeaf news release shared with Becker’s.
To accommodate the births, Marshfield (Wis.) Medical Center has expanded its labor and delivery capacity, and OakLeaf’s OB physicians have planned for additional regional hospital coverage for patients to have smooth deliveries.
OakLeaf’s Eau Claire (Wis.) Medical Clinic, along with some of its other Chippewa Falls locations, plan to expand urgent care and lab hours. Other service expansions include outpatient psychiatry and behavioral health, pelvic health and urology, and surgical.
