The decision to close the campus is a result of the financial challenges of being a rural healthcare provider, the system said. In 2019, the Irving campus reported a $7.1 million deficit.
Closing the Irving campus will affect all services, including outpatient and support, a 20-bed inpatient behavioral health hospital and 20-bed addictions facility.
New York’s Behavioral Health Services Advisory Council is reviewing the closure request.
