The health system shut down Lakeshore Hospital about two months after announcing plans to close the facility. Brooks-TLC said the hospital faced financial challenges and ended 2019 with a $7.1 million deficit.
The hospital shut down Feb. 2 because there’s not enough staff to run the facility, a Brooks-TLC spokesperson told WIVB.
The closure affects about 200 employees.
