New $71M HCA affiliated hospital opens in Pearland, Texas

A $71 million, 144,000-square-foot acute-care hospital has opened its doors in Pearland, Texas.

The new HCA Coast Division affiliated hospital in Pearland is the Texas community’s first hospital.

Features of the 33-bed Pearland Medical Center include surgical suites, cesarean-section rooms, a general nursery, a Level II neonatal intensive care unit, 3-D digital mammography and a 24-hour emergency department.

The hospital employs roughly 250 staff members and more than 200 physicians of various specialties.

Pearland Medical Center CEO Matt Dixon expressed excitement over the opening.

“Pearland Medical Center is committed to the future growth and success of our community,” said Mr. Dixon. “The residents of Pearland and Brazoria County will now have access to convenient, high-quality healthcare, minutes from home.”
