Moody’s upgrades Blessing Hospital’s bond ratings to ‘A2’

Moody’s Investors Service has upgraded the rating to “A2” from “A3” on Quincy, Ill.-based Blessing Hospital’s $27 million of outstanding debt.

The upgrade is based on several factors, including Blessing Hospital’s consistently strong operating cash flow margins, completion of a large capital project and strengthening of its competitive position.

Offsetting these strengths is Blessing Hospital’s high dependency on governmental payers.

The outlook is revised to stable from positive, reflecting expected continuation of stable margins and maintenance of liquidity.
