Moody’s also downgraded Greenville (S.C.) Health System’s ratings to “A2” and upgraded Columbia-based Palmetto Health Alliance’s rating to “A2,” reflecting their merger to form Prisma Health.

The rating reflects Prisma’s large size and good market share in several distinct markets. Moody’s also acknowledges that these factors are balanced by the system’s modest financial metrics and its relatively recent integration.

The rating outlook for all three organizations is negative.
