Moody’s Investors Service assigned an “A2” rating to Dayton, Ohio-based Kettering Health Network.

The rating reflects Moody’s expectation that the system will continue to maintain a favorable market position, as its key competitor recently closed one of its downtown Dayton facilities.

Moody’s expects the system will sustain solid operating margins and adequate liquidity, though higher capital spending and incremental debt over the next year will result in somewhat elevated leverage.

The rating outlook remains stable.
