The rating affirmation is based on a number of factors, including SJRMC’s strong market position and solid balance sheet.

SJRMC also faces several challenges, including an economically challenging service area, a modest revenue base and a high dependence on supplemental funding.

The outlook is stable, reflecting Moody’s Investors Service’s expectation that SJRMC will maintain its strong balance sheet measures and operating performance.
