The rating affirmation is based on a number of factors, including HVHS’ solid financial performance and its strong position in the competitive market of greater Pittsburgh.

The system also faces several challenges, including reduced inpatient volumes and a concentrated payer mix.

The outlook is stable, reflecting Moody’s belief that HVHS’ operating performance and balance sheet metrics will remain at current levels.
