The hospital board was recently informed patient revenue of $14.7 million was $4.7 million, or 24 percent, under budget for October. Patient revenue in October 2013 was $16.3 million, according to the report.
Mr. Bradley in part attributed the revenue deductions being under budget to more Medicare payments, according to the report.
According to the report, the hospital’s total operating revenue for October is $5.4 million, which falls short of the budget by 16 percent.
Mr. Bradley told the Daily Star-Journal that Western Missouri Medical Center “is very close” to having a balanced budget for the year.
