Here are five things to know about Allina’s third-quarter financial results.
1. Allina’s expenses for the third quarter of this year were $854.2 million, up from $824.8 million in the third quarter of last year.
2. The system’s expenses related to salaries and benefits grew to $546 million in the third quarter of 2014, up from $520.7 million in the third quarter of 2013.
3. Allina’s expenses for supplies and services increased to $200.8 million in the third quarter of 2014, up from $191.5 million in the third quarter of last year.
4. The system reported operating income of $58 million for the third quarter of this year, up from the $31.5 million it posted for the third quarter of last year.
5. Allina’s net income for the third quarter of this year was $40 million, down from $93.8 million during the same period of last year.
